I am in the process of designing a theater room, and I have decided on the Berkline 12000's for my seats. I want to curve the back wall and riser to match the curvature of the chairs. Unfortunately, I can not get anyone (including Berkline) to help me with measurements. I even thought about buying them to get the measurements, and then putting them in storage until I am ready for them, but I can't get them until January or February.
Is there anyone out there with a curved row of Berkline 12000's? If so, can you help me out? I attached a drawing of the type of dimensions I am looking for, but I will take whatever measurements you are able to get.
Thanks in advance.
Have you downloaded the specs? There's basic measurements for a curved row of 2, 3 and 4. There's also detailed measurements for each piece, so you could conceivably draw it up in CAD and get an idea. Also, each piece just butts up against each other, so the curvature can be fudged a little.

If you need more info, post your question in the "Theater Room Items & Accessories" forum and one of the vendors will help you.
I have the published specs, and they don't have quite enough information to get an accurate curvature. I have to make a few assumptions. The drawing I attached is from a CAD system, but if a change my assumptions slightly, I get a pretty broad range of curvatures. I don't need an exact answer - I just want to know that I am close.
I will try posting the question in the forum that you mentioned - thanks for the idea.
Nobody has Berkline 12000's?
i have the 12000s but they are in a staight config. so i have no wedges. Do you think the chairs are the same size?
dkroom,
I'm pretty sure the chairs are the same size, and the only difference would be the wedge. I have attached a picture with a couple dimensions drawn in. Could you help me with these measurements?
How do you like the Berkline 12000's? I have sat in other Berkline's, but noone within driving distance stocks the 12000's.
Thanks
I love these seats! They are firmer than they look but the cusions give just enough. The headrest look like they push your head too far foward, but they actually place your head in the perfect viewing position. As for your measurments..."A" is 34 1/2" and "B" is 3 1/2" but "B" is actualy the back curved solid part of the chair not the top cusion. The angle of the chair in the pic makes it look like the cusion is further back than the cuved solid part but they're actually just about even with each other. Don't know if that maters in your setup but ...well ,,there it is ..
dkroom,
Thanks for taking the time to help me out. Those measurements are slightly different than what I was estimating, so I should be a little closer than I was before.
It's good to hear your opinion on these seats. I was especially concerned about the headrest.
