First off, I use the HDMI connection for video only as my reciever has no HDMI input. I do use the coaxial digital output. On a std def channel, I loose the left front speaker. If I switch to a HD channel it comes back. Center, right front and surrounds seem uneffected. That's it for audio.
My video problem is more annoying. About 3-5 times a week I loose video from the HDMI output. Nothing but scratchy lines with a white background. When this happens, I still have output from the analog outputs. To get the HDMI back, I have to go to the stb, unplug it, wait a minute and re-boot. This is a major PIA for me as the equipment is rack mounted in a sealed temp controlled cabinet. I even put a fan directly over the unit to insure that it was not getting to hot. It never gets above 75 degrees. Thanks,
Chip
