I have a simple 5.1 surround system and my sub isn't operating properly. If I connect it directly to my Denon AVR-2105 receiver with a single regular RCA cable, I get proper operation. However, my preferred setup has a line running through the wall from the receiver to the preferred sub location. I've checked continuity and polarity betwen the connectors at both ends of the wall line. If I connect the sub through the wall connection, I get no bass from the sub. Is there an impedance problem here?
The sub is a Cambridge Soundworks BassCube 12S. I'm using the right (mono) Line Level input. Low pass freq is set to about 160Hz and the phase is 0 degrees.
The receiver is a Denon AVR-2105, the subwoofer mode is LFE normal. Crossover freq is set to 80Hz and Auto Surround Mode is on.
Any help diagnosing this problem is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry
