Will a BD player passing HDMI 1.3a to a 1.3a AVR and on to a DVI Fujitsu Plasma be able to reproduce the new Audio Codecs? I haven't had a chance to test this out, but I have a friend with the older Juji. Norm

OTOH, the DVI input needs to have HDCP compatibility in order for the HDMI input to be accepted and transferred to it. I had an older Fujitsu that did although my current one has HDMI. tyree91 11-02-08, 03:07 PM The display has nothing to do with the audio codecs. Kal, thanks for the answer. It seemed theoretically that it should work, but all this banter about HDMI not being able to process anything higher than the the lowest HDMI version in the chain had me wondering, and yes the Fuji is HDCP compliant. Should work. Thanks, Norm |
