I am looking to buy a set of 2006 Black Berkline theater power recliners, I went and looked at them, but I cannot find a model # listed anywhere on the tags. The top # I thought was the model # but it says c187a53. This is the same across all of the chairs.

To me they look like the 45187's. (Similar to the 090's - same arms, same seat pads, etc)

How can I tell? The main reason I need to know is I need to order a left hand end arm if I buy them. I need to see if they still sell parts for them!

I am no pro but I happen to have the same chairs.

They changed the model number from 187 to 45187.

I know this as I ordered six of them but then changed my mind on the number of arms one needed so they had to order again. When it came in, it had the new number and I was worried it was wrong.

I sent an e-mail to Berkline and they told me of the model number change.

Hold up on doing anything. Depending on which chair I swapped out, the place I bought them from may still have it in the box (I never took it home as I made the order correction before they delivered).

I can't remember if it had a left or right arm but if it is correct, you could probably get a tremendous deal and it is here in Michigan.

It is black and the highest quality leather (level 4???)

I will do some checking and get back with you.

c187a53

c = Console Recliner meaning straight arm on one side and a wedge arm on the other.
187 = model
a = power recline
53 = Left arm only

IMPORTANT... Left arm is when looking at the chair from the front, not from sitting in it!!!

So c + 53 = Left straight arm and the wedge console (arm rest) on the right.

chair types

AGAIN when looking from the front

47 Recliner (both arms)
52 Right arm only
53 Left arm only
54 no arms

I returned (never picked up) a 187a53 7575/0275 #29 which is a left arm only, power recline with the highest quality black leather.

I had a contact at a local dealer (he has since moved on) but I got a deal that beat one from here that many people use and I never showed him my quote before he gave me the price.

I then paid $130 restocking fee so if this is a match of what you need AND they still have it, I might be able to get it very cheap. I thought about buying it anyway if I could squeeze one more chair in but I can't.

I can't tell from the picture if the chairs are leather or not.

Let me know.

P.S. I just re-read your note. Are you looking for just an arm... to attach to a chair you will have already purchased?

Either way, I hope the above helps.

Coincidence!
Okay that might work out perfectly... I have to get the rest of the codes and will post what I have.

I was hoping I could just attach an arm... but I am not sure they sell just those do they?

If I have to buy another seat, then I will have 2 rows, 2 in the front, 3 in the back row.

Thanks Drew!

I don't think you can attach arms. There are significant differences in the chairs and design of the fabric covering...but again, I am not a pro so I don't know for sure.

Don't get your hopes up too high. I don't even know if they still have it.

Let me know if it would be a match, then, if so, I will make the call.
