I can seem to get the information board ticker to display any kind of news. All it says is, "information about playstation related topics are displayed when connected to a network." The Problem is, I am connected to a network. The PS3 is signed in and I have no problem getting online with it etc.. Its as if the information board doesn't see that I am connected to a network. Any ideas? Thanks

It's possible that the info board's RSS feed is not syncing with the system/server.

Do you have you PS3 set to automatically sign in to the PSN when you power up? If not it may not be connecting when just in XMB? Just tossing out random guesses here...

I had this same problem after the 2.4 update. I never use the information board so it wasn't a problem for me, I just turned it off. Now that I think about it, I haven't turned it on since then so I don't even know if it's been fixed. Did you start having this problem after the last firmware update?

I was the same way.... even though I didn't use it it bugged me that it didn't work. I got home last night and checked mine and it was working again. Hopefully yours will come back online with time. Since I didn't actually do anything (that I know of) to fix it I don't really have a solution for you. Best of luck and if you do end up figuring out a fix for it please post the solution for other forum members.
Maybe you could re-download the 2.5 update and re-install it? I'm not sure if that will work or not, or if it's even possible, but it's worth a shot I suppose.
