Hi I manage to find a G70 ceiling mount. However this mount only secure the 3 holes infront of the PJ.
Need to confirm from you guys will it be safe just hold the PJ from the 3 front holes only.
The person whose sell me the bracket told me is good enough.
thanks
The center of mass is located (rougly) in the center of the adjustment door.
Not knowing your particular mount, the Chief model I have uses all five mounting holes.

I'm pretty sure the Factory Sony mount only uses the front 3 holes, there is very little weight on the back of the PJ.
I have a clone mount and it uses 5 holes, 3 front and 2 back. The center of gravity should be between the front and rear holes biased to the front. This is a funtion of the PJ not my mount. The service maual gives the dims for the CG.

thanks for all the help.
The mount I have was clone but not according to Sony original spec. I think the front 3 holes hold most of the weight and the rear 2 holes are to prevent the PJ from moving or vibrating. So I think it should be safe with just 3 front holes mount securely.
Thanks again.
IMO, please use the five bolts.
The CG and pivot point is behind the front bolt holes. This will create a torque about the front three bolts. The rear two bolts prevent the torque or twist. The thread inserts are in aluminum which is relatively soft.
One bolt will easily hold something like 2000-3000lbs. But there is a reason for five.

I use all seven - Victorian engineering principles! :D - and I sit underneath it!!
Hang it a few feet in the air as a trial. You'll be able to tell then.

Hi,
thanks for all the help. Manage to hang up already and I feel it strong enough with the 3 holes infront. Will report back 1 month later if it still hang on the ceiling.
