View Full Version : My Thanks to VDC
overclkr 11-03-08, 10:56 PM You guys have taken VERY good care of me over the years and just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the customer relationship you have given me.
KUDOS!!!!!!!! :D
BTW, there is a certain young man out of the southeast US that especially deserves MANY MANY thanks, so thank you so much for being such a big help over the years. You ROCK.

overclkr 11-03-08, 10:57 PM Whoo Hoo!!!! 7000 posts!!!!! I HAVE ISSUES!!!!!!! :^)
Gino AUS 11-04-08, 06:50 AM you only just worked that out now? ;) :p
wkosmann 11-04-08, 09:10 AM Who said Cliffy worked anything out?
He only realized the issue thingee just now.
Besides, Cliffy's issues probably have issues, right Big Dog? :)
Curt Palme 11-04-08, 09:52 AM To my knowledge, Cliff has always happily embraced his issues. :D
Don_Kellogg 11-04-08, 11:06 AM More issues than Time baby, but we love him...
I have lost my will to post since I could not duplicate the cool
(B)(G)(R) BlendZilla Texas (R)(G)(B) in color. Thanks to the hard work of ChuchF my system is up & running in Video only mode (audio to come shortly)
While here, Terry told me the tale of a customer of his that had severe problems with a CRT tube supplied by a source other than VDC. The customer had a quite legitimate gripe & apparently the supplier has vowed never to sell to the HT enthusiast crowd.
Knowing this bunch there has bound to be some times when VDC has asked themselves "why do we bother"? but yet they perservere to serve our market.

wkosmann 11-05-08, 09:56 PM Yo Big Dog;
The Virginia Blendzilla is being returned by Analog Way, and due to arrive on Friday. Its been gone since September 23. They (Analog Way) were supposed to fix it while I was gone, and were supposed to have shipped it so that it was on my doorstep when I returned from my European adventures. The Blendzilla just sat at Analog Way the whole time I was gone. I've been fighting with them for the past 3 weeks to get off their dead @#sses and actually do something. Yesterday they put a new main PCB in, and today they shipped it back.
In the meantime, I picked up a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player. It can both decode and bitstream both Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio, and has analog 7.1 audio outputs. It was only $309 on the 'bay. My birthday present from the family. :)
Mark;
Would you like me to send you my Blendzilla Up Over signature?
William

Hopefully we can talk more soon. I'm sorry I've been kind of AWOL, but I've been having "issues" lately but the good thing is there is no issues within the issues. :)
One of my G90's is down. :(
Hopefully I get that issue fixed soon! :)

The Blendzilla is back in the house. Found it outside the garage, resting on the ground, right where UPS left it, when I got home from work late last night. Probably won't have time to re-install it until after I get back from Houston.

Your not running into problems are you?
Cliffy

If I do, you will be the first one I call, Mr. Hero, Sir. :)
Actually, I haven't had time to play with it yet. My time card for the last 2 weeks had 140 hours on it. Saturday night was an all-nighter, followed by 3 hours of sleep, then boarding a plane to fly the proposal to Houston. Returned late Monday night. Have a final problem set, in my Decision Analysis course, due Thursday night. The Final Exam is released Thursday night, due a week later. The Home Theater is low on the priority list right now.
On the other hand, yesterday I called MP about coming over with the Marquee Ultra 8500. He will bring it on Friday. We will take down the Marquee 9000 (left projector), swap tubes, magnetics, lenses, control module, and video chain, and put the now 9500 Ultra up on the ceiling. MP will then do his setup magic, and I will complete things with a final blendzone geometry alignment and grayscale calibration. Maybe by Friday night the blended Marquees will look better than they ever have.
Wanna fly in and join the fun? Could use an extra pair of hands, not to mention an extra mind to get the Virginzilla up and putting out.
