I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I've read all related threads on this, but came up with nothing.

I just got my samsung 46a650 hdtv and I'm now trying to connect the ps3 and onkyo 605 via hdmi:

ps3 to onkyo hdmi input 1
onkyo hdmi out to tv input 1.

All I get is "no signal" on the screen = no sound, no image. I've tried connecting the ps3 directly to the tv via hdmi and no problem. so I know it's not the cables.

I've assigned the hdmi port to game/tv = no signal. then i tried dvd = no signal.

Can someone tell me what I should do to get this working? I want to take advantage of the lossless sound and what-not.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

I should add that I'm able to see the on-screen menu from the onkyo on the tv. It just won't show whatever is coming in from the PS3

Have you turned on the HDMI output on the 605? I had to do that with my 705; that's the first thing to check.

Thanks for taking the time to help out. Do you mean if I went to monitor out and put 'yes' to HDMI Mntr? If so, yes I have. I don't get it. I was able to get the lossless audio when the PS3 firmware came out, so I know the port is (or at least WAS working).

Any ideas?

Did you assign the inputs right, are you sure you're connected to the right inputs and outputs? Are these particularly long cable runs? Do other HDMI sources exhibit the same problems? What is the resolution out of the source, change it lower and see what happens?

Well I don't know what I did but it's working now. I turned off the ps3, turned it back on and held the pwr button, and it finally worked! Strange because I did the same thing at least 10 times last night.

Just wish I knew what it was that fixed it in case it should happen again. if anyone has an idea of what it could have been I'd like to know. I'll be back to check for new posts!

Thanks for your help guys. IT LOOKS SWEET AT 1080p! WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS BABY! WOOHOO! hehe.
