Samsung HLT, Onkyo 604.

R1 plays just fine, Sony console is fine, sound is fine etc.
When trying to get R2 to load, Onkyo clicks a few times as
if trying to select video/sound format and nothing happens
past that point. No picture or sound. Onkyo stays on "multichannel"

Ditto when connecting PS3 directly to the TV set, bypassing Onkyo.


It does recognize the disk in the menu. Disk appears to be w/o
any scratches etc.

I would exchange disc for a new one

might be the Hertz problem.

If you've got it set to 120hz try dumbing it down to 60hz to see if it runs.

Replaced the disk - same problem. Could be a bad batch, that's what I am hoping for.

Played with Audio and Video settings in PS3, reducing from 1080p to *i to 720p,
reduced sound all the way down to stereo-only. No cigar. Still nada. Zip. Zilch.

The game required a quick DL (something like 26MB). May be will release another one
to address this problem. Unless it is a bad press, there will be many more folx like me.

Dang ! Me kid is not happy !

OK, after cleaning the initial 24MB DL out and re-installing it again, I was finally able to start the game !

I picked up R2 at Best Buy at lunch and mine was working fine. Great game so far.
