Some ppl may have read about CC offering a $10-$15 Gift card with the purchase of a game.

There is a way to do it were you can DEDUCT the amount of the gift card from your purchase PLUS 10% off.

This is how you do it;

1. If you use a tabbed browser you will have to close the entire browser during step 5. If its a windowed browser you can leave this window open and visit CC in a different window. You will only have to close the CC window when instructed.
2. Open Click here to apply 10% off coupon in a new window: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Video-Gaming/sem/rpsm/catOid/-12841/N/20012841/rpem/ccd/categorySpecial.do?om_keycode=981559&ep_rid=[%20PROFILE('email_addr','','')%20]
3. Add game/s to cart
4. Proceed to billing information screen.
5. Close window/browser depending on step 1.
6. If using a windowed browser open a new window and copy and paste the following link, if using a tabbed browser restart the browser(closed entirely in step 5) and copy and paste this link:

If you see the gift card on the right side still, close the window again and recopy this URL.

8. Once you don't see the gift card in your cart, Click checkout from the main screen.
You should see the coupon and the gift card will now just be a discount once you proceed PAST the shipping information.

Just use the first link if you just want the general 10% off games and accessories.

You can also use the closing window trick to get the GC credited off the price for anyone with that deal. However, the coupon will NOT work on preorders.


And if you want your game NOW, just go buy the same one at your local CC and return the one from the online order using the store receipt.

Since this is concerning CC I thought I'd let you guys know, in case you don't already, that CC will be closing 155 stores countrywide.

The stores will be closed today and will reopen tomorrow with liquidation prices.

No because sometime last week CC removed all $10 GC for console games.

However, there's still a $10 GC available for Call of Duty 5. Unfortunately, its a pre-order. So if you want to use the method including the 10% off code, you have to wait until next Monday for it to work.

I thought I remembered reading that this worked for pre-orders as well. I haven't personally tried it, though.

I had the problem of the gift card staying there as well. Delete your temporary internet files, cookies, etc. and start over. I succeeded on my third attempt. Follow the instructions explicitely.

- I added to cart using the first URL
- Went to billing information page where it showed the full $60+ price
- Closed Browser
- Opened second URL with new browser window where it showed -$5 but still had the GC added without the discount.
- Went to billing information page again ($58 price)
- Closed Browser
- Opened with second URL again in new browser and have the $48 price with the GC discount added.

As another posted stated, you may want to clear cookies beforehand just in case. I couldn't get it working without doing that additional step.

hmmm if I am reading my invoice correctly its billing me $53.24 (games, shipping tax) and I just got a $10 e-certificate by mail.
