I am thrilled to say that I got my sister into a nice surround setup. She has a Pioneer VSX-01, five MLogan vignettes, and a dynamo sub. Our problem comes from placement of the center channel. In her condo, she does not want to wall mount the TV or the center channel, and her TV stand has a left set of drawers and a right set of shelves, leaving no place for a center channel within the TV stand. The vignette is too tall to place on top of the stand, as it blocks line of sight to the TV then.
So, does anyone have any links for a tall enough stand that we can put behind the TV at about 6' from the ground? She would rather have it behind the TV than on a stand in front of the TV stand.
Thanks!

What about leaving the CC on top of the TV stand and elevating the TV? I think that would be easier and sound better than placing the CC sky-high. Would something like this (http://www.racksandstands.com/PSD-TS-Series-with-CTM-Mount-PM1231.html)in back of the stand work? Maybe just something simple to place under the TV to raise it up a little. My preference in this situtaion would be to replace the TV stand with something that properly accommodates both the TV and the CC, like this (http://www.racksandstands.com/BDI-8252-BD1143.html).
Neither of these may be what she's looking for, but take a look ad racksandstands, as they have a huge selection. I've ordered from them before and have been very pleased with their prices and shipping.

thanks for the response, she likes the stand she got from ikea, but I think you may be right about raising up the TV. Maybe I will look into something to put the TV on to provide for proper clearance...

I noticed in another thread someone is using an old unused sub for a center channel stand... perhaps I should just make something?
Get creative. If you are handy, you can make a thin shelf that the center can sit on and put it right behind the tv to elevate the speaker. The material need not match the current stand because only the speaker would be visible above the set (you'll have to angle the speaker slightly downward). Would something like this work out?
