View Full Version : Berklin Chairs (set of 3 streight), how do they connect?
I juts received my set of 3 Berklin seats, and they look nice, I have 1 with 2 arms and 2 with a single arm, so that's fine they all work and are without scratches or other issues. However there does not seem to be any way to connect the 3 chairs together into a single unit?, is there suppose to be a way to do so?, Just wondering, before I call the place of purchase and ask.
Thanks,
ERIC
whiskey alpha 11-05-08, 01:47 PM No they do not connect, they merely just sit side-by-side
BIGmouthinDC 11-05-08, 01:47 PM You set them next to each other and gravity will do the rest. Unless your model is different than the models I've sat in, seen or owned.
Kind of like a furniture sectional where the pieces just sit together.
Thanks, wanted to be sure, as I know other brands do lock together.

BIGmouthinDC 11-06-08, 10:16 AM Flaw? It makes them a lot easier to tip forward to vacuum up the dropped popcorn. If they were all attached it would be a bear.

I've tilted my berks forward numerous times. They are heavy enough that you don't really notice that they aren't connected.
whiskey alpha 11-06-08, 11:31 AM holy crap... you are suppose to vaccum under them!?!?
No joke I tilted mine forward the other day and found Popcorn, M&M's and Juju fruit!
BIGmouthinDC 11-06-08, 02:39 PM I usually find enough change for a car wash.
elmalloc 11-06-08, 03:46 PM since when did car washes cost $0.50 these days

And never have a problem with them being next to each other (not feeling connected)

If you happen to put them in a room with wood floors, then they will slide apart, but should be OK on carpet. If you have wood floors, then I suggest Coasters. They are of better "value" (distinct from price alone)

Please stop.

If they are on a wood floor and you run across the room and jump on them, they might slip apart.:D
I can't imagine trying to move my 4 Berklines if they were attached.

OK, unless you are a slob in your theater and need to vacuum under chairs every ten minutes, then realistically how often do you need to move them?
The chairs do recline which should allow you to reach under them...

Eating popcorn in a semi reclined position in a dark room is a recipe for miscues.
In my experience you need to vacuum about once every 3 months.
aquafire 11-22-08, 06:32 PM Wow every 3 months? LOL....
I vaccuum weekly. I guess a slob I am :)
elmalloc 11-22-08, 08:47 PM oh funk yeah you're a slob oh snap vaccuum only once a year here
BIGmouthinDC 11-22-08, 09:01 PM Vacuum visible floor yes weekly is about right if you spent every night in the theater, but the turning the chair up, collecting the loose change and vacuuming down under just once every three months.
aquafire 11-22-08, 09:26 PM ahhh...gotcha :)
elmalloc 11-22-08, 11:08 PM after he collects loose change he packages up pennies into wrapper and takes to bank

Got to, to pay for the bulbs in my destroyer.
Actually my bank has a coin counter in the lobby you dump it in, it counts, and prints a receipt that you take to the teller. No wrapping and No service charge (unlike Coinstar).

No vacuuming needed in my theater...I just recline and my 2 dogs find the popcorn!
elmalloc 11-23-08, 08:43 PM dang blips you live in a mansion, youre in cleveland mind if i see your theater some time i'm in brunswick

Sometimes people use their theaters for activities other than watching movies...
