I've had three cases crack on me where pieces broke off. A couple others have cracks in the case with nothing broken off but those came like that probably shipping damage.

I've not had a problem yet but you have to be very careful though.

Yea these things appear more fragile than DVD keepcases. It's jewel cases all over again.

Picked up MI3 off Amazon for $13 and it came factory sealed yet the case was cracked in the back. I have about 35 BR's and this was my 1st..

Haven't had an issue yet, but odds are I will eventually. You can get replacement boxes at http://www.sleevetown.com/blu-ray-hd-dvd-case.shtml.

I've received several from Amazon and a couple from Best Buy.

I have two that a piece fell off the top of the spine. It's a problem with the cases that meet like a triangle at the top.

They really need to overhaul the Blu-ray cases. They are simply crap. Just use thicker plastic so that the cases aren't so weak. I'm looking at my 1999 DVD cases like Saving Private Ryan and the things is still sturdy after 10 years.

I've already cracked 3 blu-ray cases.

I put everything in Discsox anyway; takes up so much less space...

Broken Blu-ray cases are a fact of life.

I buy all my Blu-rays from Best Buy (lately they seem to equal or even better Amazon prices) and I've had broken cases right off the rack.

The last movie I bought, Speed Racer Blu-ray, was a 3-disc case and the snap button on the top was broken. Now whenever I open the case, the 2-disc holder comes out and sometimes falls to the ground.

Unfortunately, there are no 3-Disc cases on Sleevetown.com or any other website for that matter.

There's just nothing you can do at this point in time...

It appears that the plastic used for Blu-ray cases is a little softer than the harder plastic used for dvd cases. I do have several BD cases that have cracked or chipped (particularly on the hinges at the corners) out of hundreds and I treat my cases like babies.

No problems here, but I doubt I would be concerned about it anyway. It will happen from time to time. The case is way down on my list things I am particular about.

I bought a factory sealed copy of The Departed and one of the little spokes (out of three) that holds the BD in place was broken off, so now the BD flops around loosely.

Annoying.
