Hi,

When the PJ was on table top front projection I can get everything in order and have very nice picture.

However today I manage to intall onto the ceiling and to my surprise I can't center the Blue tube.

The green is right in the center of the screen and after slight horizontal ajustment the red align with the green.

The only problem is the blue. Horizontal adjustment is not a problem I can get it align with green and red. But the blue is about 4 - 5 inches above the green and red. Even I use the vertical electronic centering adjustment to maximun it still about 2 inches apart.

Is there anyway I can tilt the blue mechanical to align with green & red.
I didn't want to push to hard and break the blue tube.

The PJ should not have any problem because it was good when on table top.

Do you have the red and green (and blue) rasters centered on the tube face?
Is the projector mounted exactly level and square to the screen?

You should be centering the cross-hairs or grid on the tube faces and mechanically aligning the optics, not setting up the mechanicals and then using electronic adjustments.

Try going back and forth first with the blue linearity control, then blue size and position controls.

There is something different in the G70 with either the blue tubes themselves, or the sweep electronics on that color. My blue always needs a little extra TLC with the electronic setup to get the rasters to align vertically.

You need to use zone '1' for the coarse R G and B raster shifts. That has more range than just the R and B shift buttons on the remote.

Hi,

Thanks for all the help. I thought once I reset to factory setting all raster will be automatically centered. But not for the blue.
Curt is right. Once I use Zone 1 to center all the raster, R/G/B/ are very close.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry need some help again.

After I completed the adjustment pq seem ok accept when I show the all white test pattern, the left half is more bluish and the right is redish.

I think because they are closer to the respective tube.

So may I know which adjustment to correct this and which test pattern to use.

thanks in advance.

I too would love to know how to fix this blue / red bias!

Isn't that from having a retro-reflective screen? That's what my Graywolf would do.

My screen is a standard matte unity gain.
