How good (or bad) is the support for DLNA in the Samsung LNxxA750 LCD TV? Is it useable, or just an interesting toy? I currently have a Z500 media box, and would at least like to have the same (or better) support in the LNxxA750. I mainly play DIVX files, both SD and HD, but would love to have MKV support. Is it worthwhile looking at the Samsung from the media player point of view?

I've not had much luck with it as of yet - the 750 will see a couple of DLNA servers I have (TVersity & another who's name escapes me), but I've not been able to succesfully play any music, pics or video - probably a file format issue.
If you've not already found it, you might want to check this forum:

The general impression (or at least my general impression :)) is that the DLNA client in the 750 is not that useful....
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have looked over the "Official Samsung LNxxA750 Owners Thread", but I thought people in this group would have more insight and knowledge about the DLNA features of the TV. Sounds like it's not a great hit, pity, if it worked well this would be a killer TV for me.

I have the Samsung LN46A850 and got the Wiselink Pro to work streaming pictures, music, and videos.
Although useful, the major gripe is that you cannot fast forward or rewind the video that you are streaming. You can only pause. Also, once you leave Wiselink Pro, the video starts from the beginning.
I installed Tversity, and it also does not allow fast forwarding or rewinding. Tversity would not work through Wiselink Pro, but works with my Directv HD box through its beta media server option...go figure.
Thus, it begs the questions, do all media servers have this limitation of not allowing fast forwarding or rewinding?
