Hi,

I've seen some old posts on bean bag chairs in the home theater but I was wondering if anyone has any up to date experience. I looked at getting 2 lovesacs, but I think they are overpriced, and I think I found equivalent on ebay for a fraction. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with buying bean bag chairs off ebay. How they have lasted? Should I be looking for a specific type of foam?

The reason for this consideration is that I want to build a riser in the room but the wife does not like that so instead I'm looking at one large row of seating and a couple large bean bag chairs to supplement it.

Any comments on going down this road and previous ebay experience for bean bag chairs would be appreciated. Also anyone purchase just home theatre seats from ebay (like recliners and such)? I'm considering it but it seems risky compared to other vendor options.

Thanks if anyone has any comments please let me know!

Tom

I got a jumbo bag via eBay. He actually happened to be local and I ended up getting quite a deal. But make no mistake about it, it is no Lovesac. Lovesac uses shredded furniture foam that is much softer and regains its form better. I decided I wouldn't pay that much for a freaking bean bag chair and in the end it only gets used a few times a year so it doesn't matter too much to me.

You do get what you pay for here.
