I purchased an SVS 20-39 pci sub and connected it to my Denon 2807. I did the speaker setup and had tones from all the speakers and the SUB.
When I went to play a dvd the sub was dead. I went to the denon manual to check the troubleshooting.
1. The sub is turned on - I had tones at setup
2. sub setting is set to yes - the setup shows the sub and all 6 locations had tones for all speakers and the sub.
3. Output is connected - again I had tones
4. channel volume is set to 0.0 - when I adjusted the volume setting all the way down it went to off so I adjusted it to the middle. Is that correct?
Does anyone have any ideas what I am missing this is driving me a little crazy and I can't stop thinking that I am missing somthing stupid.
The sub is turned on, a red light is on, and it turns green when a signal is being received. I could try leaving the sub auto on switch turned on but I really don't think that is the problem
