There are just soooo many different streamers to read through. Can someone tell me if there is an option that offers all of the mentioned features? I will spend around $300 or so if I can get this. Thanks!

If you want a streamer that does MKV and the others you are looking at 2 peices... The streamer and then playon to access hulu and netflix... PLayon is buggy as hell at the moment but the concept is good. (This will also require a PC to run playon on)......

you might consider the popcorn hour for its price... no single stand alone box will do what you want.

Thanks Sean, I guess that is what I was wondering, if there was a single box that did them all. Popcorn seems real nice, but I just feel like that I am really going to want that Netflix HD when it comes out in the next couple of months.

Apparently some people have had success getting Popcorn Hour (100) working with PlayOn and therefore you would have access to Hulu etc.

Nothing on the Netflix front though without a second unit (or pandora if I want to add my requirements to your list). :)

I might splurge for a Mac Mini when it gets a revamp (alledg.) in January. Then you could run XBMC, Boxee and have access to Pandora/Netflix. This would be significantly more than $300 though

Not to be too much of a company shill, ;) but you might check out the D-Link DSM-330 DivX Connected player. With some tweaking can do MKV, and plug-ins are available now for Hulu, YouTube, MTV, and many, many others.

No Netflix currently, but that is likely to change before long.

Play on should work with upnp clients...

so far for me limited success with PS3 and XBMC

But not with the DirecTv HR20

Popcorn hour a-110 hour does all that.

Please be more specific! I have a PCH A100 and it doesn't do all, you still need a computer to run the play on. Also, I would recommend against using xbox or any other non-HD box, since Hulu streams HD content as well (looks great, when it works), so you can watch most of the newer shows in HD.

Personally, I think that a program like PlayOn combined with services like Hulu and Netflix will be the way people watch TV in the future.

I use PlayOn + TVersity Media Server to stream through my Playstation3 to my TV it works wonderfully:

I get:

1. All movies on my computer streamed. (Tversity)
2. All mp3s on my computer streamed (Tversity)
3. All HULU (PLayon) which includes tons of tv shows and movies
4. All Netflix (Playon) streams all my netflix movies with no problems.
5. All youtube vids
5. and other stuff that Playon provides.

I'm using a PS3 to do most of what you deswcribe, but it has not been a painless process. A fairly cheap PC will do all that you want easier and give you a lot more control. I believe you can even turn a PC into a Tivo Box these days.
