Ok, here's my situation. I have a 50" Plasma (Panasonic TH-50PZ85u). I'm putting it on a stand in a 10x10 bedroom. The room will be laid out as follows. Imagine you're standing in the room facing the north wall. The TV is on the left end of the north wall, the entry door is on the right end of the wall. The east wall (and the east end of the south wall) are taken up by a twin sized bed. The remaining 84 inches on the west end of the south wall has a big comfy love seat crammed into it. The west wall is essentially bare (or will be).

I intend to do most of my serious viewing with the lights off (and the window completely sealed). However, I'm worried about the screen itself lighting up the whole room and creating visual distractions.

Right now the walls are almost a baby blue color. The ceiling is white. The furniture and floors are all various shades of brown. I was thinking about getting a coffee table, but I'm worried that it will cause specular reflections.

I'm thinking I should paint the walls maybe a royal blue color (I don't want to do straight black). Should I paint the ceiling too? What about curtains along the walls instead of paint? If I do this, which walls should I curtain? Or should I curtain some and paint others?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
