I have the RX-V663 and I am moving out to a house.

I currently have a 5.1 setup with the 5 Polk RMF10 speakers with the psw10 sub and at the house there is also a 5.1 Pioneer speaker system (bookshelf speakers as well and a Pioneer Subwoofer as well.
Sorry I dont know what model they are but they are old (8 years old at least).

I was thinking of taking advantage of the 7.2 capability of the V663 and use the polk speakers for the main speakers and surround and use the older pioneer as presence speakers and rear speakers?

Would this be a good combination?

Also about the Subwoofers is it okay to use both?

Curious mind at work....

I would say yes on the pioneer speakers as back speakers for 7.1 since your receiver has a built-in parametric EQ so that will help to voice match your Pioneers with the Polks as much as possible and may sound close enough to sound pretty good. As for the two subwoofers absolutely not. My reason is because they are different brand and design all together from each other. They will have different frequency response curves and different phase shifting points which has the potential to leave you with very hilly bass not to mention less bass in the places where the phase is too far apart from the two to totally cancel out some bands of frequencies. You can play with it and see for yourself but whenever I have tried to make two completely different subwoofers play the same thing it has never turned out successful.
