Would it be practical to use Vista's Room Correction as a tool to fine tune a room?

I have an older receiver without automatic room correction, it does have delay and level controls.
If I am to set up the delays As closely as manually possible. Then use the Room Correction to
measure the room. Adjust the settings on the receiver so that Windows shows that it is not making any adjustments.

Then if all works well the room will have been corrected on a basic level.

So is there any other software that works better?

Sure,i use it couple times and work great.give it a shot. :)
