For anyone who's interested,

I just put a 1080 Ensemble in and its a great product. Took all of 3hrs with two guys in a basement with a drop ceiling. If i had to do another one now, i could probably do it in 2hrs. Anyway - if you're thinking about it, it works great. Integration w/ their receiver / screen/etc. is great.

The sound of the sytsem i thought was fantastic as well. The speakers are supposedly from atlantic technology.

No BluRay though what a waste of a great projector.

Where does the OP say he is or isn't using a Blu-ray player? And if he didn't add one now, why couldn't he add one later?

What was the point of your post anyway?

I agree -

You get one receiver w/ a built in dvd player
still has 2 spare hdmi's, so add a CATV box and bluray player & you're all set...

Yes and if you watch the demo, it even mentions it has HDMI inputs for blu-ray and other HD devices. For most people, this is a great package because everything is integrated. As close as it comes to a "plug-n-play" AV setup.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase & get ready for family/friends to come over all the time for "movie night", which will end up being more often than you would like. :)

Did you install it for yourself? If so would you PM me what the purchase cost was? Not the install price. I have a friend that might be interested in one.
Thank you.

As a package one would think a 1080p projector should be bundled with a 1080p source (BluRay player). BluRay players also play DVD's so if it has the BluRay player to begin with you're all set for both formats. That's all I'm saying.

I think the Ensemble is a great product, but it clearly cries out for a built-in Blu-ray player. That, and an Ipod connection would make it extraordinary.

I agree w/ you guys - i would imagine the 2nd gen of this will have it.
In the meantime, at least they didn't handcuff you from expanding your system, so you can still have your cake & eat it too...
