Are the extra pixels in the pz85u worth $800 (that might not be the price difference in the USA, but in mexico it is) or at least would there be any noticeable difference??

On a 42 incher? Doubtful. I bought the px80u 50 incher as I did not feel the extra $$ was worth the extra pixels on that size tv with my viewing distance.

Its def worth it unless you are sitting 20 feet away. Its more detailed, sharper, and has better depth.

800 more is a lot but the pz85u has a definitely better picture, better blacks (which are noticable), higher contrast, deeper colors, better processing (smoother picture), an a pc input. The Px 80 runs a lot cooler, uses less watts, and handles SD content better.

i would suggest px80, 42 inch 1080p is not worth the extra price, if PC input is needed then PZ80 is automatic choice.

It depends on your seating distance. Anything closer than 8 feet and you may want the 1080p. Anything further, I would say no way for $800 difference.

At 5 ft go with the pz85.Absolutely. That's really close and a 768p will look terrible. Get the 1080p PZ for sure.

If cost is a problem, is the cheaper PZ80U available in Mexico? It should be since it's actually assembled there :D
