I am currently using my 4100SH with a 500 GB hard disk + a 500 GB ReadyNAS Duo setup. I am considering migrating to a 1 TB or a 1.5 TB HDD for the 4100.
Are there any known issues with using a 1 TB+ hard disk with the 4100?
Not sure about the internal HDD, but with the USB I have connected two external 2T Hard Drives with no problem.

Well, that's an external, but it wasn't specified whether or not we're talking about internals or externals.
The largest single drive is the Seagate 1.5TB, but as far as I know, there are some freezing(?) issues with it. There's a thread on the HTPC subforum for it.
I don't know if there's a firmware fix (yet). It's certainly getting great reviews on Newegg, but I probably wouldn't trust putting my data on it quite yet.
The 1TB drives (pretty much any brand) are fine.
I'm sure there's a forum/thread out there (mpc club maybe?) that talks about specific drives (brand and model) working on TViX.

I bought it in Futureshop (a Canadian retailer). Some manufacturer uses a card to combine 2 1T hard drives together inside one external enclosure and it shows as one 2T drive either in Windows or with my TviX4100. But it's better not make partitions of it. Last time when I made 2 partions on the 2T hard drive and when used with tVix4100 sometimes it doesn't show correct partitions when I switch internal/external and different partitions.
I agree. I had lost data before. Now I always have a backup with important files.
