This going to be good or bad?

I don't think they'll kill off the Sanyo brand in projectors. But Sanyo will most likely become Panasonic's budget brand.

Sanyo is pretty much dead in the flat pannel business. In the projector world they still have a name.

I've always seen Sanyo as the reason Panasonic lowered their projector prices. I don't think this is a good thing. In the long run I don't see them keeping both- plus I see the 3 year warranty out the window now.

Less competition is always a bad thing.

From what I can tell, there is already a thread on this, Sanyo will remain a viable entity but be a subsidiary of Panasonic. I would not expect to see any changes to Sanyos PJs any time soon.
