Just ordered the HC720 and it will be the first Epson I have ever owned, should be interesting to see how it compares to the AX100 and AX200 I used to own.

Anyhow,, my screen size is 92" diag. with a seating distance of 9 to 10 feet,,with the room I have I can ceiling mount within a 10 to 15 foot throw distance, so Im wondering if I might be better off mounting the HC720 as close to the screen as possible so as not to loose any brightness or should I back it away from the screen as much as possible to perhaps get better black levels,,,, or does it really make any difference with the HC720 ?

Also,,, 9 to 10 feet seating from a 92" screen,, I wonder if I will notice SDE, having owned mostly Panasonic projectors with the smooth-screen ?

Cheers

Mine's mounted about 15' from my 120" screen, which put's it in about the middle of the range, just on the low side. It's plenty bright & the blacks are very dark.
I have an Elunevision screen with 2.4 gain, but I imagine that since the pj's ceiling mounted, a lot of that gain's negated.
My first row of seating's about 10' from the screen. I don't see any SDE & my eyesight's pretty good.

Nice to hear your not seeing SDE at 10' from the screen.

I keep seeing conflicting reports here on SDE at that distance so Im kinda wondering if I will see it coming from owning the Pannys with the smoothscreen.
