I was thinking of picking this up from Newegg for $16 Kingston 8GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model SD6/8G

As long as it's at least class 4 then you should be good to go. I have a couple of Adata and Transcend cards myself and haven't - so far, touch wood - had any issues with them.

This has been touched apon in the HF10/HF100 thread as well.
