Folks, anyone here hooked up their media servers to stream online content, yes, online.

The Zyxel 1100p user guide and manual don't say anything about online, except for podcasts and I pretty much let it go.

This is the kicker, I've got a machine here, and there's an option called IRDIO and it appears to be a list of online stations, except the server that it shows up on is an old AMD and doesn't have enough juice to stream stuff.

I can't seem to get IRDIO or whatever this streaming program is on the real HTPC, I've installed Itunes, Winamp, Creative Organizer and those are pretty much the only things on the AMD.

The cool part though, is that ORB/Winamp remote lets me see youtube, google videos and a couple of others straight to the TV. The FLV format however sucks on a large tv, but the concept is pretty neat I think.

I'm still new to this whole media streaming thing and it's like all this content is now alive instead of being stuck on a hard disk!

Any ideas?

I used ORB, and the Zyxel found it, and it now streams mp3 from shoutcast to the HT, and the internet TV stuff as well.

I don't think the internet TV is going to be very useful though, the resolution sucks and it might be useful for stuff like the French Open, and World cup soccer etc., but even that will be a stretch.

Shoutcast and other streamed Music channels are awesome however and the useless crap like youtube etc. can be streamed but I don't really think it works that well.

The flip side with ORB I think is that I think I can now login and stream stuff from this media server to anywhere else. Have to try it out.
