Hi,

I want to buy a Canon HF100 camera for a friend in germany. You can buy the same camera in germany with the difference that the german version just has a 25p mode and the US version a 30p and 24p mode.
My question now, is it a problem if my friend plays back the 24p or 30p footage on his german 100 Hz TV? Is it noticeable?
I know that the new 50Hz LCD Panels in germany can play back 24p video but I dont know how it looks like on an older TV.

The Canon HF100 sold in the US has a 30p and 24p mode, but records to the medium in 60i.

Does your TV accept 60i video?
