Ha ha, Not sure why I bought these screw down speaker pins. Since I only have spring terminal speaker posts.

Anyway, the screw does not hold the 14 guage wire at all. The screw just goes all the way down and falls out the pin barrel.

Guess I should scrap the speaker pin idea and go bare wire to speaker terminals?
Or should I push all the wire to the end of the pin barrel and screw down to the speaker jacket?

Thanks

No don't do that.

However you can strip 2x as much insulation away as needed and fold over the wire, then twist to make it thicker.

Or should I push all the wire to the end of the pin barrel and screw down to the speaker jacket? Are there 2 screws or just one? If 2, you can cut the insulation such that one screw holds down the wire and the other the insulation. What pins are these?

Doubling the wire back on itself is also a good option.

Are you twisting the wire so that is provides a solid surface for the screw to press down against or are you just shoving untwisted wire strands into the pin's barrel?
