Trying to program Harmony Logitech 670, but can't get Kenwood Kxw 8010 tape deck to respond. Rather old unit, and I have the original remote which quit functioning long ago.
Spent hours on phone with Harmony tech support. Was told I need to obtain hex codes for the Kenwood, and then they could help.
Any ideas?

Are you sure the tape deck has a IR sensor? Or does it have to be hook upto a receiver?

Since my post, I have checked the remote using a digital camera, and determined the remote is sending a signal. The deck is connected to a reciever, because it is not amplified, but the original remote did operate the deck at one time.
I will just have to operate it manually the rare occasion I use it. The problem appears to be in the deck, instead of the remote, so I think the hex code solution is now irrelevant. I'll just live with it, or buy a new cassette deck.
