Now, with my Hitachi 60v500 I needed to run a straight connection to the TV bypassing the receiver, computer would not see the TV. Now Im builder a home theater with a projector (Epson 6500 ub, cant wait) and the new Rotel pre-pro. I'm going to run an HDMI from the Rotel to the Espon (channel in-wall) and would like to know the best connection for the Epson, should I run another HDMI and connect it with a DVI connection to my computer, ATI 4870.
So
Rotel - hdmi - Espon
computer - dvi - hdmi - epson (and of course sound from my Auzentech prelude to the Rotel)

Most sites list the Epson as only having one HDMI socket, although pictures (http://www.engadgethd.com/photos/epsons-powerlite-1080p-projectors-hands-on-2/1019109/) suggest otherwise. Assuming it does have two:
If there's only the cost of a cable at stake, I'd go for two separate HDMI runs since you're burying them in a wall, to save later redecoration hassle:
A second cable will be useful for troubleshooting. You may prefer to have different sources on different projector inputs. There's a small possibility the the cable (or more likely it's connectors) may get broken. And finally even if the PC does work OK via the new Rotel, future equipment might not.
Good luck with the theatre build.

There won't be any quality difference between the two options, only thing you might run into is handshaking issues one way or the other.
Ideally, I'd run everything through the pre/pro as it simplifies source switching.
