Hi,
when I run the "Y Hsweep 350 675 polyphase" on AVIA "II", which is a horizontal sweep from 3.5-6.75Mhz, what I see is increasingly finer resolution between the lines as expected going from left to right, but after about 5.5Mhz I am seeing something that I am not quite sure what to make of. This is what I see (I will try my best to explain without an image) -

Between 5.5Mhz and 6.75Mhz I see gray horizontal bands that move from left to right. So I see moving gray horizontal bands that move from 5.5Mhz to 6.75Mhz continously. What I was expecting to see is just one steady gray band at the point which will indicate the maximum resolution.

Now how do I interpret this result ? What do you make of this ?

What is "polyphase" btw ? How is this "polyphase" pattern different than the other lower resolution patterns ? And does it have anything to do with the result I am getting ?

Please advise.
Thanks!
