Anyone else excited about Werner Herzog's (Grizzly Man) upcoming 'Encounters at the End of the World'? Didn't get a chance to see it during its limited theatrical run, but given the subject matter and his unique take on life, it should be a spellbinding film. The expansive Antartic vistas should look impressive on the BD canvas. :D

I will definitely check this out as I am a fan of Herzog. Rescue Dawn was one of my favorite movies that I watched last year.

Will it have an audio commentary by the great Werner? He usually is open to doing them. I missed this movie too

I love Herzog.

I'm just waiting for a Stroszek BD damn it!
One of the greatest flicks of all time...

If you visit the deals (sticky) thread, there will be a buy2 get 1 free offer starting 1/6 from Amazon. This is one of the titles available for that promotion.

I had not seen this film in the theaters, but admire his work. When I checked rotten tomatoes collective rating for the top critics....100% rating-all positive reviews.

This one certainly flew under the radar. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. It has a nice bonus features package. PQ is pretty good considering it's 1080i and it has a decent lossless track. Herzog continues to be the most "underappreciated" filmmaker working today.
