So I stumbled upon these today... They are shipping out now. I am not sure what areas they are going to first though.
So sorry for the crude pics and the bad photo shopping. I had to take them on the down low...
Of note I would say is the Dolby Digital Plus logo....

MPEG-4 is something that will require new boxes. Comcast will be deploying MPEG-4 in a few cherrypicked test markets. It won't happen overnight since it will require replacing a ton of boxes.

I like to know who will get them first? Because my HD-DVR S/A box sucks!
I am giving comcast till the end of the year to get together on my system (Garden state System of NJ) we have many problems and lack of support from them.
I will go and get D*TV just like every one around me has done in the last two years. I will say Comcast has lost close to 1/2 to 3/4 of the house around me.
But I would like Fios most of all.

Garden State is getting SDV. SDV is switched video. That will add more HD channels but people with CableCard enabled TV's are screwed since they don't work with the tuning resolver. Tivo Series3/HD/HD XL with the latest firmware can use the tuning resolver that lets the tivo access those channels. Cisco/SA is also working on an RNG-200 but Panasonic is the main supplier. The RNG-200 is using tru2way/OCAP compatible. The RNG-200 uses OCAP/tru2way technology that allows for universal cable products. I hope they will put an updated guide like the J-guide or even an OCAP version of the Comcast Tivo software.

I think it will be the same guide as in Panasonic's Tru2Way TV. After all, it's a panasonic, and it's Tru2Way.
I-Guide, with updated graphics.

When you say "shipping" --- shipping from where to where? From Panasonic to Comcast offices? Or from Comcast offices out to customers?

Sorry I can get in a lot of trouble if I say any more. Lets just say that there are quite a few in stock. Sorry for the vagueness.

Nope. Maybe next year. Your division has to go tru2way in order to deploy the Panasonic RNG-200.
