I have a Rotel RSX-1055 receiver and recently upgraded to a new digital comcast cable box--the new comcast remote does not have learning capabilities nor any codes for Rotel receivers--I just need to turn the Rotel on and off and adjust the volume--please help with any codes that might work

Sorry. No built-in codes as you already know (except in a few european one-for-alls - code 0793), but if your remote has a 6-pin connector under the battery door, you may be able to load THIS (http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=523)upgrade if you buy a JP1.3 cable. Otherwise you'll need a new remote.
