Hi, I hope someone here can help me. I replaced the bulb on my Marantz projector after the bulb warning came on the screen. Now I have a great picture again. The problem is I can't reset the lamp timer so the warning keeps coming on whenever I turn the projector on.The instruction sheet that came with the bulb says to connect the power cord to the wall, turn the main power switch on, leave all inputs disconnected, then on the remote press the power button. Then press left/right/freeze in this order on the remote. Then a reset lamp runtime is supposed to pop up on the screen. I have done this countless times. It does not work, reset lamp runtime does not pop up on the screen.I called Marantz for help and they said to send it in to have the bulb replaced. I told them that I had already replaced the bulb and the projector was working great, I just needed to reset the lamp timer. Then they said that on Marantz projectors you had to press the buttons in a certain way but they couldn't be specific. Please help, I love this projector but this warning is driving me crazy. Thanks Sam Zeoli

Sam,

They used to recommend you send the PJ to Marantz. We changed the bulb in one of these and you had to put in some sequence. We had called tech support. Tech support said it had to be done very quickly. For some reason I keep thinking the sequence was on the PJ and not the remote. But, I could have remebered it backwards. We were tring everything.

Anyway, I don't remember the sequence but I do remember we had to try it a LOT because even with the correct sequence the timing had to be perfect and was done very fast if memory serves me. PMing Dan Miller would be your best bet.

Sorry, I couldn't be of more help. We still have some out there so I bet we'll run into this again. If you get a solution please PM me and remind me how to do it in case we get another call on this.

Bob
