Thanks for the tip. Probably would have missed it. An hour earlier they're replaying the show (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1081239&highlight=rovers) about the Mars rovers based on computer processing of their hi-rez images. Too bad, for both shows, the spatial resolution is trimmed back to 720p; (doubt the Japanese are using 720p in the moon orbiter.) But the downconversion from scientific imaging resolutions aided the Rover images sharpness--contrast of lower resolutions--and should do the same for lunar views. -- John

My problem with this show was that it still used as much CGI as real footage, if not more; combined real footage with CGI in some cases; and did not clearly label which was which.

John Mason: Please quit whining about 720p.
