Have a Time Warner Cable - Motorola DCT 3416 STB/DVR. Antelope Valley California.
I know the initial posting regarding this STB/DVR, in the 34xx thread, is that it did not support an External HDD.
So, hoping things may have changed - has anyone with a similar provider/set recently managed to get an external SATA (eg, Western Digital My DVR) up and running? If so I'd love to get your set up instructions. Thanks!

AFAIK Motorola has never provided an update to allow an external HDD to be conected. Also AFAIK the WD product is for certain models of SA/Cisco STBs only.
