Hi!
I got a Panasonic 42" PX80.
It have 1024x768.
It can handle 1080P.
I suppose that The TV peel 1080P down to 1024x768.

To the case.

I watch DVD from my Pioneer DV-410V-S DVD, I peel the DVD with the player over HDMI.

But to my quastion shod I have the DVD on 720P or 1080P?
Is it better to let my TV peel 1080P down to 1024x768 or shod I let my TV peel 720P up to 1024x768?
What is the best setting for my TV?

I can't have interlance because the TV sucks at deinterlancing.
So I need to peel the DVDmovie to progressiv from my DVD player.

Unfortunately, there is not a definitive answer.
You need to try all available scan rates from your DVD player and determine what setting looks best. If you have a test DVD, such as DVE or AVIA, look at a multi-burst pattern and a Snell and Wilcox pattern to determine what output resolution from your DVD player reproduces the least amount of artifacts.
