well im not sure which one to pick so many options. my budget seems to be from 0-1000$. i have a old camcorder which used Mini-DV.

You should get one of those ones where you have a bar on the side that you have to constantly rotate clockwise in order to capture you image. Seriously though, your gonna have to give some info other than your budget. Your best bet right now is probably a flash HD, but which one is your choice.

Dont forget if you want to edit your footage hd card and hd hard drive cams need more powerful pcs than dv or hdv.

Well im just looking for a good quality and simple camcorder to use. I will be using it to record some family vacation footage.

Well i wont be editing anything. well i have a HDTV and maybe a HD camcorder would be my best choice.
