I just got my first Scart RGB cable shipped from Europe:D
I just got my first SCART RGB Cable for Sega Genesis1 and Sega Master System1, and the picture quality is way better than I expected. UNCOMPRESSED 4:4:4: RGB is a thing to behold. Everything Pops Way more, The FULL RESOLUTION CHROMA compared to S-Video, Component, and Composite really makes a HUGE Difference. Component and S-video have Full Resolution Luma, but not Chroma.
It looks like you're playing a system with a WAY higher resolution than you were before.
I took some screen caps, but they really can't do justice to how good the picture quality really is. No more Moire Effect on the waterfalls in Sonic.
You can see every single drop of water in crystal clarity with RGB.
It's better than I ever even dreamed of.
First 3 are RGB Screencaps.

The next 2 are composite video screencaps, notice the lack of visual detail, and the moire effect in the waterfalls(it's much worse in real life), the lack of pop, and the lower color resolution.

Do you have to use TVs from over the pond?

You don't have to, but I did as I found one on craigslist from a filthy rich college student who brought it back from his semester abroad in the UK.
The guy's house was the size of Costco.
There are many "pro brodcast monitors" that have BNC type RGB inputs, it's just that you have to get some kind of adaptor cable as they don't have SCART RGB inputs. either that, or you have to do a little sodering.
There's plenty of pro broadcast monitors on ebay under cameras and photo>professional video equipment>monitors.

I don't have the dedication for genesis gaming. It's pretty cool that someone does though!

Why don't you think we went that way over here?

save our precious bandwidth
please think of the professional load balancers and the extra work the CRT subforum makes for them

LOL - why you hatin' guys? There has to be someone somewhere thinking they'd like to optimize sonic on their genesis. Maybe an old school game collector or someone putting a room together in their house or something. It'd be cool to have a whole room filled with the best from the past. It'd take too much diligence and money for me, but I'd think it was cool.
