Just moved into a new house. I have a Klipsch Quintet 3 & Klipsch 10" subwoofer. The wife doesn't want my surrounds mounted visibly in the rear.
Right now I am just using the center and two fronts out of the Quintet.
I was looking at some in ceiling speakers for the back.
Then, I started looking at replacing all my speakers...is it worth it to replace the Quintets in the front also?

A few details.
My receiver is a Yamana HTR-5890.
My living room is 16' deep, 23' wide.
75% movies, 25% music.
We have a large Entertainment console I would like to keep the center, left, right speakers on - so freestanding is out of the question (wife's orders also)
I have a budget of $1500 for the speakers right now. (Another $500 from the wife at Xmas time for speakers if needed.)
Help!

Will the Def Tech Studio Monitor 350s with CLR 2002 Center Channel sound better than my Quintets?

if you are still considering in-ceiling speakers for the surrounds, check out the Mirage Omnican's from www.vanns.com they have an excellent sale on now
