Hi all.

I made a major mistake today. I bought the ez17 without a controller and was using my Logitech 880 controller with no problems, until
i accidently went into setup and selected remote 2, now I can not get the logitech to work with it. Can I reset anything on the machine to put it back to remote 1?

Thanks for any help..

Just an FYI, I got it fixed by doing a firmware update on the machine.

Thanks all for reading

I wouldn't have thought of that:) Though I do know a factory reset resets most everything, BUT the remote code.
Did the firmware update reset ALL your other options and channels?

I remember one poster mentioned that when his Panasonic came back from Elk Grove Village his remote no longer operated the machine. From the Panasonic's display it was determined what operating code was present on the machine and advice was given to reset the remote to that code. Then the poster reported that everthing was back to normal.

Whatever was done at Elk Grove changed the machine's operating code.

I don't remember if the poster sent the remote with the machine to Elk Grove Village or kept the remote at home.

I believe you press and hold "OK" and "1", "2", or "3" simultaneously for 5 seconds to set the OEM remote to code 1, 2, or 3. So just try them all until you find the one that works, then change Remote Control in the Setup menu back to "Set Code 1". Lastly, set your OEM remote back to "1".

That would have worked for the OP but he didn't have the OEM remote:)
In that case borrowing a OEM remote from a friend would have been a option or even buying a new Panny, putting batteries in it's remote, doing what you said, then boxing it up like new. Kind of a cheap thing to do but it would be a option;)
AFAIK all the Panny remotes basically work the same, even older ones or newer ones than the original.
