My wife and I both really do not like screens on the remote (long story).
Are there any good universal remotes without a screen? I am going to try to get my Dish network to do everything I need it to, but I will likely miss out on a few things.
It's only one room with a TV, Satellite, DVD, and Soundbar, it's pretty simple.
Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations

Even though I use a powerful RTI control system in my own house, I just bought my sister a URC WR7 universal remote. Right now, you can only get it at Walmart (and maybe Circuit City) for $30. All buttons are totally back lit, and it allows for macros on 13 buttons. I just started setting it up, and I really like the look and feel. Supposedly it has much better IR range than the "regular" R7 version, and also adds some macro capable "favorites" buttons.

You may also want to take a look at the One for All 10820

You might also like the radio shack 15-100 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2454734). It still has a small LCD, but it's a simple one used only to display the current device mode with a user entered description to and aid in programming. All functions are still directly accessible by buttons. You may like the 15-134 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3064079) better as it has no LCD and colored buttons, but the remote and the buttons are quite small. These radio shack models and one-for-all's are learning and can have a max of about 2 dozen 15 step macros on nearly any button. You can also program advanced codes for additional functions like discrete inputs and discrete on/off, etc. The 15-100 is backlit and has home theater mode. Both are a lot of bang for the buck.

I use the URC R7 for our bedroom TV. It's essentially the same as the Wal-Mart model, but its available at many other retailers. The price is generally the same. No screen, good build quality, low battery consumption.
