OK... I spent two months researching and listening to speakers at every possible audio store in and around the area. I thought that was the hardest part of building a home theater. Then I finally decided on Paradigm. Then all I needed to do was find a receiver. Wow another month of research. At least I have it narrowed down to either Denon 2809 or 3808. I should have it all this weekend.
After thought... I need to pick up a remote. Hmm I see the Logitech online a lot. Let me check reviews... I find this as complex to research as the other components. I am exhausted. Any help and direction you can give me would be GREAT!!
I have a 42 inch Sharp LCD, PS3, XBOX360, Wii, Denon (see above) and a Motorola Fios DVR. I am looking to put everything but the TV in the room right behind the wall the TV is on. I was expecting to just use a IR relay to get the signals through the wall. Little did I know I have OPTIONS. I still like the idea of having it behind the wall but RF is a possibility. I was expecting to pay between $150 and $200 for a remote. I like the idea of touch screen but it does not have to be necessary. I can handle programming so a little of complexity up front is fine. It has to be easy to use for the wife. I will pay more if it gains a lot. And to get rid of the relay would save me close to $100. I do not want a remote that only a dealer can update.
Any insight or direction would be awesome. Thanks!
