If serious, start with one of the discs Derek listed. If not ... then a good picture is worth "zero" to you.

Time to go to the LCD forum area to copy away.

We are here to help if you are serious about getting a better image.

Would that stuff make my ps3 and xbox360 games look better? and would they make the lifespan of my tv longer?

edit: what would make my games look better? i only use the tv for gaming anyway.

Greetings

Since few game companies actually create their games based on reference TV images ... it ultimately doesn't matter what you do to the image.

Only if the game carries a THX certification will you know that the game was designed based on calibrated displays.

Most companies just don't care about such matters so they test their games on TVs in vivid modes and Dynamic modes just to make sure they look "okay."

So for games ... it really doesn't matter. For movies ... that is another matter.

You now have your answer ... which means it doesn't matter ... since the game makers don't really care anyway.
