The PT-AE3000U has this feature. I have seen it on the sammys but not on front projectors.

Question for those who has seen this on the Panny, Does it produce a "daytime soap opera" effect like on LCDs?

I have the 1080UB now (purchased it last year at this time) and I was wondering if it was worth the upgrade.

thanks!

The frame insertion does different things depending on the scene. Some good/some bad. Some natural/some unnatural.

I did not have enough time to really explore the feature, but it seemed like a nice thing to have.

Personally, I like the look of 24p film, so I'm not sure when I would want to use frame insertion.

I would like to see how other projectors, like the Sony VW200 and VW80 frame insertion compares.

Frame insertion may end up being one of those things you wish you had more control over regarding when and how it operates.
