I have the avl300. All my components except for my projector and DirecTV HD receiver are in a closed cabinet and are controlled using the blaster of OmniLink. My projector is in my HT room and runs directly through the IR of the remote. Everything works except for the DirecTV HD receiver. This receiver is in a different room and is connected to the OmniLink using a 25 foot IR emitter that is connected to port A of the OmniLink. In my setup I have this receiver setup with the OmniLink and coded to use Port A, but I don't seem to get any signal to come through Port A and the emitter to the receiver. Should I be able to see any light flickers in the piece that fits over the receiver's eye when I hit receiver commands on my AVL300? Does anyone have some idea how to get this OmniLink to communicate to my DirecTV HD receiver through the Port?

The problem may be that the IR ouput is not strong enough to send the signal through the 35' cable. Can you temporarily move your receiver closer with a shorter emitter to see if it works? If not, can you program another device like the TV to work on port A to see if it's a port problem?
